RESIDENCY LOGISTICS + EXPECTATIONS
- This residency is focused to support weaving and textile artists but artists working in other mediums are also welcome.
- Residents may propose a length of residency that best supports them (anywhere from 1 week to 1 year).
- You’ll be responsible for your own food and your own supplies (yarn, etc).
- Overlapping residencies are welcomed and two-person proposals can apply with the understanding that you’ll be sharing a living space.
- Each resident will be offered a stipend of $200/week during their stay.
- Residents for terms longer than 3 weeks must be eligible to receive income in the US.
- The residency is self guided, so weaving residents should be able to set up their loom on their own.
- If you would like to do a winter residency (NOV-FEB) please know that the studio is not heated so your proposal would need to be self-contained enough to be completed within the apartment space or done in collaboration with other local facilities.
- Residents are highly encouraged to host a public facing component to their residency (a talk, workshop, class, open studio, game night, presentation, etc).
